Did you know the Alexander Stadium is named after William Whiteway Alexander?

To mark the Alexander Stadium’s £72million redevelopment, Birmingham Civic Society have installed a Blue Plaque at the venue in Perry Barr to acknowledge William Alexander’s contribution to athletics, the city of Birmingham and Birchfield Harriers.
