Friends of Wylde Green train station

Friends of Wylde Green Train Station are a voluntary group that promotes train travel and the local high street in Wylde Green, Sutton Coldfield.

To celebrate the Commonwealth Games and nearby Sutton Park hosting the triathlon and para triathlon this summer, Friends of Wylde Green Train Station successfully applied to the council’s Celebrating Communities Small Grants Funding Scheme.

With Wylde Green Train Station set to welcome thousands of visitors in July and August for the triathlon, the community group commissioned two pieces of art for the station with their grant money.

Local artist and resident Cal Thomas produced triathlon inspired artwork which has been installed on platforms one and two at the station.
