Creative city

Martineau Gardens is a community garden in Priory Road, Edgbaston. The garden provides a warm welcome to all, whether its school children visiting for education, members of the public or volunteers who keep the garden so beautiful.

Following a successful application to the Creative City programme, Martineau Gardens is set to benefit from a new set of gates to encourage more visitors to explore the gardens as a legacy to the Commonwealth Games.

Award-winning sculptor Tim Tolkien will be working on this community-led public art installation following a series of community engagement workshops.

The gates will officially be opened in September.
